2012 - Special Health Authorities are formed in a shadow capacity
- NHS Commissioning Board to be established
2013 - SHAs and PCTs abolished
2014 - Remaining NHS trusts to be authorised as foundation trusts
2016 - Review of Monitors transitional powers for oversight on foundation trusts
Winter Flu
From October 3rd the government started the winter flu vaccination programme. The seasonal flu can be life threatening especially for those people in the at risk category. If you are concerned if this affects you then it is advised for you to go to your GP and request if you qualify for the free flu jab.

Four hour A&E performance standard is to be retained - Trusts are to continue being performance managed against the four hour accident and emergency standard.
